FarmHer Jennie Smith has her roots in agriculture. Over the years, she has built up Butcher Crick Farms -- a small-scale tomato, herb and vegetable farm at her grandparents larger farm in Iowa. Her produce and heirloom tomatoes are sold locally in farmer’s markets and to area restaurants. But Smith also has a full-time career in corporate agriculture as a sales manager for Kemin.
She travels the world helping large growers find solutions for pest problems while increasing yield. Managing both of these roles requires the same hard work and dedication embodied by all our FarmHers. See photos below from the tomato harvest at Butcher Crick Farms.
