The National Dairy Council has teamed up with the USDA and the National Football League to encourage children to eat healthier and to be physically active with their Fuel Up To Play 60 challenge. The NFL launched their “Play 60" campaign in 2007 to encourage children to get outside and play for at least 60 minutes a day, whether it was in- school, out of school, or with local teams.

The NFL has committed more than $325 million to youth health and fitness. In order for children to be healthy, the USDA has recommended a portion of each meal include fruits, vegetables, and dairy.

The National Dairy Council has added to the “Play 60" challenge by adding an additional piece that encourages children to choose healthy foods to get the recommended nutrition requirements. Watch the video from “Market Day Report” to learn more. Get the full schedule at www.RFDTV.com.
