NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) The Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research has announced a new study that outlines five areas of ag research with the most potential in the next decade. The Foundation hopes this information will encourage support for ag research.

The new report aims to help U.S food and agriculture keep its global edge. Though science and technology are expected to evolve even further in the coming decade, Sally Rockey, Director of the Foundation, says that the most important time for lawmakers to support investments in ag research is right now.

Research advocates plan to use this study to promote investment in ag research, highlighting the fact that it has been decades since the Federal Agricultural Research Budget has had a significant increase.
